Summer Reading List 2019

This summer not only will I want to work on Christmas products (yes, in this industry you have to work on products months out) but I want to read more. I want to read books to better myself, for learning, and for enjoyment.

Here are most of the books I want to read (I bought one after I took these photos):

  1. I want to reread Make It Happen by Lara Casey to remind myself to not give up on my passions - just to pivot them a bit, I also just enjoy reading Lara’s story.

  2. Grace, Not Perfection by Emily Ley is also a reread. I like going back through to remind myself to give ourself grace and that you do NOT have to be perfect because no one is.

  3. In the Company of Women by Grace Bonney contains profiles of hundreds of artists. I like going through their mini interviews. And to be honest I wanted this book because Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co. was featured in it.

  4. Audrey Hepburn by Barry Paris is a book I chose for a fun read. Naturally, being named Audrey, I love the actress. I have seen many of her movies so I want to read about her life.

  5. Further Up & Further In by Joseph Pearce was a book recommendation from a retreat I went on earlier this year. The retreat theme was mostly C.S. Lewis and a bit of J.R.R. Tolkien. This book explains more about the world of Narnia C.S. Lewis created.

  6. Heidi by Johanna Spyri since I have never read this classic before.

  7. Called to Create by Jordan Raynor (not pictured) was a new find. I have started reading this one yesterday and already find it hard to put down.
